presence in healthcare search.
A holistic SEO campaign for an online healthcare provider, combining Shopify development, useful content and stronger authority to almost double organic clicks year on year.
Explore the resultsMore discovery. Stronger visibility.
Since April 2025, Amplified SEO has worked with an online healthcare provider to strengthen its presence in a competitive search market. The focus was a connected SEO campaign: improve the website, answer the questions patients were asking and build the credibility needed to compete.
Google Search Console: 1 July to 30 September 2026 compared with the same 92-day period in 2025. Matching calendar dates helps reduce seasonal differences. These are search performance results, not revenue or patient acquisition figures.
The growth behind the headline.
Organic clicks rose from 4,934 to 9,651 across the comparable quarter, while impressions almost doubled. Average position improved from 52.1 to 14.5 across the searches captured by Google Search Console. That aggregate includes a changing mix of queries, rather than a fixed keyword set.
Organic clicks. Growing over time.

The challenge was bigger than rankings.
Competing in healthcare means helping people find information they can understand and trust. A Shopify website gave the provider a solid commercial platform, but stronger search performance needed more than product listings and occasional blog posts.
Commercial pages needed clearer search targeting. Supporting guides and editorial content needed stronger relationships with those pages. Clinical expertise needed to be visible, and technical issues needed practical fixes that worked within the platform.
We brought those areas into one campaign, balancing technical review, content optimisation, topical authority, editorial link building and ongoing performance analysis. Each part supported the others.
Content built around real questions.
We improved treatment and category pages with clearer headings, more useful on-page information and closer alignment with search intent. The aim was to give each page a defined role, helping search engines and patients understand what it offered.
Alongside commercial optimisation, we expanded and improved supporting guides, comparisons and editorial resources. Internal links connected information with relevant treatment pages and appropriate next steps, helping develop topical authority across related patient needs.
The result was a more connected content estate, with useful answers supporting the pages closest to a provider decision.
A connected search journey.
Making clinical expertise visible.
Experience, expertise, authoritativeness and trustworthiness mattered throughout the campaign. We strengthened the way clinical knowledge was presented through clearer authorship, named pharmacist attribution, medical review, professional credentials and supporting references.
This gave readers more context about who was responsible for the information and why it could be trusted. The work supported content quality and credibility, rather than treating E-E-A-T as a score or a shortcut to rankings.
Trust built into the content.
Shopify, customised for stronger SEO.
We worked within Shopify to improve how the website’s content and commercial pages supported search. Technical review and fixes were paired with template and on-page changes, internal linking improvements and structured data markup.
Schema markup helped describe relevant page information in a machine-readable format. Clearer page structure and relationships supported discovery and understanding, while redirect reviews helped manage changes to the commercial page estate.
The platform was the foundation. The value came from adapting it to the provider’s search needs and patient journey.
A platform shaped around search.
Editorial links and authority beyond the website.
Editorial link building formed part of the wider campaign, helping develop relevant third-party links and recognition alongside the on-site work. The focus was on useful coverage and expert-led contributions, rather than backlink volume alone.
Our backlink analysis showed a substantially broader external authority base by August 2026, alongside the content and technical improvements made during the campaign.
A broader external authority base.
Visible in AI-generated answers, too.
The provider’s content was also appearing beyond conventional organic results. An Ahrefs snapshot dated 2 September 2026 recorded 78 Google AI Overview responses, alongside visibility in Google AI Mode and other answer platforms.
A separate DataForSEO analysis identified 138 domain-level mentions in its tested Google AI-answer dataset. These sources use different methods and query sets, so their totals remain separate.
These snapshots show existing AI discoverability. They do not establish AI traffic, a growth rate or a direct causal link to individual SEO changes. They give us a baseline for assessing how useful, attributable healthcare content is being surfaced.

Measurement that informed the next move.
Google Search Console supplied the traffic and visibility evidence. A bespoke rankings dashboard added regular DataForSEO ranking data, giving the campaign a clearer view of priority searches, landing-page alignment and changes worth investigating.
That made reporting part of the work. Results could inform which pages to improve, which topics needed stronger support and where technical or content review would be most useful.
One campaign. A stronger search foundation.
The most compelling result is the combined picture: almost twice as many organic clicks in the same seasonal quarter, a larger impression footprint and a materially stronger average position.
Those results followed a holistic programme of technical improvements, Shopify customisation, content development, on-page optimisation, internal linking, clinical trust signals and editorial authority building. No single tactic is presented as responsible for the outcome.
The next stage is to build on that foundation, strengthening priority topics, continuing useful content and authority work, and using search intelligence to guide decisions. The opportunity is sustained progress across a portfolio of relevant searches.
Results are specific to this campaign and period. Search demand and Google’s results change over time. No revenue, consultation or sales uplift is claimed from the available data.
